Question
I read a question/answer on this topic but can't find the doctor listed, so I am asking you. I am convinced I have this.I have had it for years and its getting worse and sometimes interferes w/ sleep and daily activiites. Dermatologists always diagnose this as ecxema and give me steroid cream; it only temporarily helps relieve the intense burning and itching on my arms (only area affected). I have chronic neck pain on my left side. What do you recommend..should I see a chiropractor or an orthopedist? I live in Richmond VA. Please help!!!!! Valerie

Answer
Valerie,

See a neurologist and rule out shingles, post herpetic neuralgia, cervical radiculitis (from nerve irritation in your neck), or other neurologic disease.   That's a good place to start.   For the neck pain, see a good chiropractor in Virginia.  Ask the chiropractor also to rule out the above-mentioned conditions.  You may need an MRI of neck or head if there is a neurologic problem.

'Hope this helps.
