Question
for the past 6 months i have been experiencing numbness in my left leg. i am 26 years old and have always had a pretty active life.i do have a small lump in the bottom of the leg but have been advised by my gp that this is harmless. i have read many articles saying that i may have pinched a nerve in my lower back, and i find this possible as i am a plasterer and do a lot of heavy lifting. i have also been told it could be stress related. the most worrying thing i have heard is that it could be related to MS and i find this rather scary as i do have MS in the family. any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Answer
First...don't panic.  There are many causes of pain in the leg.  Have it assessed  by your GP first; if there is any worry about MS, they should refer you for further testing.  Secondly, I would seek out and find a good chiropractor to check your spine, and set you up in a good rehab program.  Good luck to you.
