Question
I've been told that I have no curve to my neck.  This was found to be so in an x-ray.  My niece also has this problem.  Could this be hereditary?  Barbara

Answer
It can be hereditary.  A loss of curve can come from a few things; injury, muscle spasm, etc.  You may also be one of the few people that have a low degree of curve, not only in the neck, but in the whole spine.  DO NOT let someone attempt to "put the curve back".  Your body will take the force from an adjustment, and will do with it what is necessary, whether it is putting curve in or not.
