hi I've been suffering from dizziness on and off over a year, I've noticed it's worse on movement of eyes/head. I did have whiplash in 2000, but I also wonder could it be caused by hormones, my Dr didn't know what was causing it and told me to go see a neurologist but I'm not convinced I should, I've also been anemic in the past and the last blood work in Nov looked ok my Dr said there was no need to do another blood test, so I'm wondering now is it related to neck or back, I also get a mild earache on the right side.

You need to ask your doctor to rule out the following conditions:
BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertego), Meniere's disease, cervicogenic vertego, or inner ear tumor or aneurysm. A clinically competent DC and neurologist together can sort these out. You can easily google these conditions for broader definitions. The most likely is BPPV. The BPPV patient will get a wave of dizziness when changing head and torso positions, be forced to stop and hold still, and wait for the dizziness to subside. If this sounds like you, then odds are you have BPPV. If so, it's very easy to resolve in one or two treatment sessions with a physical therapist trained as a "vestibular specialist." Most PT's know who the vestibular specialists are, as should your PCP, so it would be easy to get a referral.
