Chiropractors/Reverse curve of the neck

Question
I went to the Chiropractor yesterday and he told me that the reverse curve in my neck could cause a number of problems in my health.  I have panic disorder which he said could be caused by my neck.  He also told me that my Tachycardia and acid reflux could also be caused by it.  Naturally my main concern is that he told me that people with a reverse curve like I have don't live past the age of 65 I am 30 now.  I am writing b/c I would like a second opinion on what I was told.  I don't have insurance and know that it can be costly going to the Chiropractor 2 or 3 times a week. Thanks

Answer
Brandy,

What that chiropractor told you is utter garbage!  I would ask that he write it down on paper, then you can do the following: 1) have him show you any credible research to prove those statements, and then 2) send those statements to your state licensing board!  His stating such falsehoods in the hopes of procuring extended treatment based on scaring you is a violation of his duty to not harm the public.  I am terribly sorry you encountered this and am embarrassed to have this huckster in my profession.

Go find another chiropractor - find a good one.

Best regards,
