Chiropractors/Neck Pain

Question
I recently visited a local Chiropractor for chronic neck pain and he did an exam and x-ray. I returned the next day, to find my x-rays showing the early stages of sorry for the laymen terms but my spine being too straight, lack of curve. He shot more x-rays then did some minor adjustments then some traction for 2 minutes. He is talking about me coming in 2-3 times a week for this same routine for several months. Does this sound right? Thanks,

Answer
Hello Tatum,

It is almost impossible to determine your treatment plan without looking at your x-rays and performing a exam.  Treatment frequency looks normal, treatment is usually more frequent the first month.  As your condition improves the treatment frequency should decrease.  Obviously the goal of the treatment is to restore the normal curve of the spine and decrease muscular tension around the spine.  Pay attention to your progress, this will help you and your doctor determine future treatment.

Have a great day,
