Question
Hi, i have this numbness in my legs that comes and goes very often, and it is so numb that my big toe starts moving without me even knowing and i don't know why. I also have a very bad disk in my back and i thought it would be because of that but my doctor said no it isn't. i was wandering if you could help me.

Answer
Hello Mandy,

You may want to have a exam by a Doctor of Chiropractic.  Chiropractors specialize in the biomechanics of the spine, musculature and all joints of the body.  The Chiropractic exam will reveal the cause of the numbness, a MRI may be recommended too.  MRI will show soft tissue and cartilage (disc), X-rays only show a picture of the bones.  If you are also experiencing muscle weakness you may want to be seen ASAP.

Have a great day,
