Chiropractors/torticullis (sp?)

Question
I recently had a very major bout of torticullis (sp gets me) and ever since then (2-3 weeks) my right thumb and index finger have been totally numb as well as tingling in the remaining finders and some tingling in my left fingers. There's still a dull ache in my right shoulder and the base of my neck. I've been to the hospital twice and their advice is to see a neurologist. What can a neurologist do for this malady? Many thanks!

Answer
If there is inflammation in the area of a nerve root in the lower cervical spine, a neurologist can asses this and possibly give an injection to decrease the inflammation...if there is inflammation.  You may have a misalignment in that area, and a good chiropractor should be able to asses and treat you.
