Chiropractors/Cracking Joints & Circulation

Question
I'm 14 and I whenever I squat down for over a minute my legs get tingly and start to turn a deep red. When I stand up my knees crack at least 3 times and I can feel the snaps. Its not excruciatingly painful, but its fairly uncomfortable, and people ask me about it. When I am fully vertical, I get a rush from my head flowing to my feet and a dark screen washes over my vision for a few seconds then fades. It is worse if I sit on top of my feet; they get pins and needles when I stand up and sometimes its so bad they are completely numb, so that when I dig my nails into my skin I can't even feel it. These symptoms also occur when I cross one leg over the other knee. I don't know what it is or what to do about it, it seemed benign but both my aunts have had knee surgeries, but not my mom, and my grandmother had septicemia when she was younger in her leg that permanently damaged her circulation in said leg, but I don't think that has any correlation with me. I am currently taking Vitamin C and my mom suggests I start taking calcium. This has been happening since I can remember. Should I see a doctor? Is it serious?

HELP!

Answer
cracking joints, circulation, tingly, legs turn red, uncomfortable, lose vision, numb, family history,

Hello Hayley,

Sorry to hear of your complaints.

At 14 years old you should be at your healthiest.

Should you see a doctor?  Yes.

Is it serious? I cannot tell from your description.

You have complaints.  You should investigate/ evaluate those complaints.  Start with your family MD (medical doctor)or DC (Doctor of Chiropractic).  Be patient, proper evaluation , proper testing takes time.

Good Luck, and I wish you good health naturally,
