Hi Aidan: How old are you.? I'm thinking Middle or High School. You have flat feet. That means your thigh & leg are internally rotating. This puts stress on your Foot, Ankle, Knee & Hip AND Low Back.  You need to strengthen your EXTERNAL rotators. Those Orthotics you have are shot by now. Just like running shoes are only good for 500 miles, you buy new ones. Budget yourself for a new pair at least once a year They need to be made by prescription by a Professional. Your Achilles tendons, when someone looks at you from the back, should be PERPENDICULAR to the floor. I'm sure yours bows out. You need an Orthotic to compensate for that. Hook up with a good Sports Podiatrist. Or, a Chiropractor with experience in this area. Make sure your sport shoes are designed for hyperpronation. New Balance and Nike make these. Additionally, I suggest you get together with a good SPORTS oriented personal trainer to address your issue of internal rotation of your lower extremities. Do this test. put 2 scales next to each other on the floor. Stand on each one of them at the same time. Your weight should be the same on each side. If you weigh 140lbs. You should be 70lbs. on each side. If you are off by more than 5-10 lbs. You need an adjustment to get your hips aligned. Good luck. Hope this helps. Dr Ron Grassi,DC.,MS.
