Question
I'm 66 years old.Since 2 years I'm experiencing biceps muscle loss.Consquently I'm losing function of both hands from elbow including fingers. Is it due to muscle loss or nerve loss or both?Is there any treatment and/or are there any medicines to treat this condition?

Answer
K S,

You need to see a neurologist.   This may be from a severe problem in your neck that is encroaching your nerves or spinal cord.   It's not the muscle.   It's a nerve problem.   A cervical spine MRI will show the anatomy of this. That would be the first step.  A nerve conduction study will also prove if there is nerve damage (or muscle damage).   The neurologist is the doctor you need to see.
