Question
hello i was in a car accident and quad accident about 7 months ago and after these i was starting to have back pain fearing i may have hurt it in some way i say a doctor which told me i had a Thoraco-lumbar to the right which i don't know what a that means and put me on cyclobenazaprine (muscle relaxant) and nanoproxen for inflammation my back pain did not get better so i went to a chiropractor which uses drop tables and have been visiting them ever since but nothing is getting better every time i go they say every thing is out of whack again but about a week ago i was hit from behind it hockey and my back pain has gone in to overdrive i have tried Advil and Tylenol but these seem to have no affect could the doctors have missed something or are chiroprators doing something wrong?

Answer
You should get xrays taken of your back to rule out any joint abnormalities. If the drop piece technique is not working for you, then tell your chiropractor. There are many other techniques that chiropractors use which may be beneficial to you. You may require some massage therapy as well to address soft tissue injury. You may also need to begin some posture specific strengthening or stretching to help your back. I would discuss these options with your current chiropractor, if he/she is not responsive, then I would suggest finding a chiropractor that is responsive
