Chiropractors/Burning in shoulder

Question
Ever since I could remember, I have had this burning sensation located in the back part of my shoulder whenever I sit still for a period of time. I never thought to much about it until I got a job where i have to sit at a desk for most of the day. I love my job but I almost dread going to work now because of this uncomfortable feeling. What do you think it is? Should I go to the doctor for it?

Answer
I would suggest seeing your family physician to rule out any problems.  If there are none, I would suggest starting out with shoulder retraction exercises.  Many times, the muscles of the middle back are under used, and weaken.  Shoulder retraction exercises with strengthen them, and may possibly take the burning away.
