Question
I have pain in my chest spefically on my sternum when ever I apply pressure directly to the upper portion of it around the 2 or 3rd ribs. The pain radiates which feel like underneath the bone itself. I belive its the 3rd ribs on both side of the sternum they are either being pushed up out of place or swollen. You ca honestly run your hand down it and feel them swollen up even in the middle of the sternum, Does the sternum slant slightly upward? What could this be and how do I fix it

Answer
The sternum should follow the curve of the chest.  If you have swelling like you describe, I would suggest you see your family doctor first.  An xray may be in order.  If everything checks out ok, I would suggest a chiropractor.  They can assess the ribs to see if there may be misalignment causing the inflammation.
