Question
I have been suffering from nighttime hip pain for the past several months. I only have the pain when I sleep on my sides. When I get up after the pain, I have a burning sensation. Should I seek help?

Answer
Hello Shawn,

I am sorry to hear of your pain.

Don't you want to know what is causing this pain?
Bed too soft? too hard? sleep in an awkward position? overwork at work? from playing a sport? from some underlying pathology? is it getting better??, worse??

You have had hip pain for several months.  You have pain and burning.
You have complaints for SEVERAL months.  I am a Doctor- - - what can I say?- I have to answer your question: "....Should I seek help?....", with a YES.

Your local Doctor of Chiropractic or local Doctor of Medicine would be glad to take a history, perform an examination and get to the CAUSE of your problem.  Give one (DC or MD) a call.

Thank you for your question.
