Question I recently read a post on here, that was almost identical to my conditions. i started suffering from pain in the shoulder and neck in 2005, right before i got out of the army. I have been diagnosed with suggested Suprascapular nerve impingement, long thoracic nerve palsy, and degenerative disc disease from C2/3 - C5/6. are all of these things connected? i have significant pain all the time both shoulder and neck. do you have a recommendation on what course of action to take, or if there is a surgical procedure that might be recommended to potentially help these issues. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer I would suggest a chiropractor to start. If there is pinching on the nerve, it can lead to the symptoms you describe. Conservative care first before any though of surgery. They may follow a course of care involving therapies, adjusting, rehab, etc. to help correct the problem.
