Question I started having pain in my lower back by the spine(top buttock)right side. I also had a little hard lump underneath the skin its now been a week and the lump has doubled I have a red mark on the skin and the pain has gotten so bad I can't sit on it and I can barely sleep. the pain gets worse as I do activitys. I don't ever remebering injuring the area. Do you know what this is can I be seen by a chiroprator or do I need to see a doctor.
Answer Having the redness, unless it is red from touching or rubbing the area, I would say see your family doctor first. If it is ok medically, I would suggest you see a chiropractor. A lump in the area you describe can be from swelling in the sacroiliac joint, which will lead to a "lump" under the skin. A chiropractor should be able to assess and treat this for you.
