Question
Have you encountered ABR? (http://www.blyum.com/) Have you treated any patients with CerebralPalsy?

Answer
http://www.blyum.com/  "ABR is the method of structural correction of musculoskeletal deformities. It is a hands-on method performed by the parents who learn the ABR technique and receive individual prescription of applications from the ABR professional staff.
ABR is a method that re-builds even the most severely distorted musculoskeletal structure
ABR redefines "rehabilitation" – ABR improves musculoskeletal structure so significantly that normal motor functions recover spontaneously, making special training and management for "motor disabled" unnecessary. "

I am not familiar with ABR- so I reprint the website explanation here.

I have not encountered ABR.  From the website it sounds like a cousin to Chiropractic.  Please google/ search chiropractic and you will see the similarities.

I have treated patients with Cerebral Palsy.  As with many conditions, there are severe manifestations of CP, and milder forms.

With the more severe forms, comfort of the patient, and keeping muscles/ joints more flexible is the goal.

With the milder forms, a better restoration of function is the goal.

""""" What is Cerebral Palsy?

What is the definition of cerebral palsy? Cerebral palsy is a term used to describe a group of chronic conditions affecting body movements and muscle coordination. It is caused by damage to one or more specific areas of the brain, usually occurring during fetal development or infancy. It also can occur before, during or shortly following birth.

"Cerebral" refers to the brain and "Palsy" to a disorder of movement or posture.  If someone has cerebral palsy it means that because of an injury to their brain (cerebral) they are not able to use some of the muscles in their body in the normal way (palsy). Children with cerebral palsy may not be able to walk, talk, eat or play in the same ways as most other children.

Cerebral palsy is neither progressive nor communicable. It is also not "curable" in the accepted sense, although education, therapy and applied technology can help persons with cerebral palsy lead productive lives. It is important to know that cerebral palsy is not a disease or illness. It isn't contagious and it doesn't get worse. Children who have cerebral palsy will have it all their lives.""""

Chiropractic definitely helps with CP.

I have not seen Chiropractic nor any treatment method 'cure' CP.

The ABR- exercises/ stretches/ manipulations performed by trained parents would be helpful to the CP patient.  Concurrent with Chiropractic and perhaps massage therapy and perhaps physical therapy, improvements could be had.  But I am very doubtful of any claims of cure.

I am sorry if I am not more encouraging, and I am open to further discussion/ conversation about CP, ABR.

Go Get Checked Out at your local Doctor of Chiropractic; I would not be surprised if chiropractic could help to some extent.

Go Get Checked Out at your local Doctor of Chiropractic; perhaps your local chiropractic doctor is familiar with this ABR.
