Chiropractors/hurt while stretching, help!

Question
I was stretching and all of a sudden I have this pain on my left side, my shoulderblade, collarbone and left side of neck HURT!! i can barely move. i don't have health insurance to see a dr. I'm scared! please write back, has this happened to any of you before?

Muscles can spasm for any reason.  I would first suggest you apply an ice pack.  This will help relieve swelling.  Do this for 15 minutes on, 20 minutes off, repeating 4 times.  The next day, I would switch to moist heat...same times for application.  If it is just muscle spasm and strain, this can help alleviate the problem.  If medically able, you can also use an NSAID (Advil, Alleve, etc) to reduce inflammation.  If, after a few days the problem persists, I would suggest you try a good chiropractor.  they should be able to assess and treat this, and, if necessary, send you to the proper specialist should the need arise.
