Chiropractors/cerv neck slip in details

Question
Do you know exactly how and what/technique massage you should be using to cure a slipped disk/pinched nerve?, the following are my MRI results:

MRI:
c5-6: degenerative disc signal 2mm posterior disc bulge extending greater to the left.  Mild neural foraminal narrowing on the left predominantly secondary to bulging intervertebral disc.

C6-7, C7-T1:  Mild straightening of the normal cervical lordosis.

Should you be using direct electromagnetic radiation on the part that's painfull?  Exactly where do you exactly place the pads?, is it possilble to purchase these Electro magnetic radiation pads, if so where?

Should you be sore around the bottom of your neck after initial massage/electro magnetic treatment of this?  I'm feeling a burning sensation on the bottom of my neck after all this sitting for a while on the computer.

Thanks in advance,

Answer
Richie,

Do not waste your time getting electrical stimulation to the neck.  This procedure (adhesive pads placed on your skin and connected to the electric stim' machine) absolutely do nothing to change the course of your condition.  A 2mm disc bulge is nothing to be concerned about.  Your MRI findings are very common..."run of the mill" findings that many people have.  Mild narrowing of the nerve canal can produce pain or paresthesias (numbness, tingling, or "fuzzy" feelings) into the arm or hand.  If you don't have any arm/hand symptoms, then likely you're okay.   You need to obtain skilled manual joint mobilization and manipulation, posture exercises that help strengthen the muscles of your neck and upper back to counter the effects of sitting at a computer, and education on avoidance of bad postures.  A well skilled chiropractor can do all of this.  Otherwise, get care in tandem with a knowledgeable PT along with a DC.
