Question
QUESTION: I recently started to get a pain in my upper left mid back bottom of shoulder blade, dull ache  I sit at a computer for long hours, also have pain in left thumb bone and occasional numbness, and ideas ?
Could it be a pinched nerve?

ANSWER: Semma,

This very well may be a pinched nerve situation. Since we all sit at a computer more than we really should you should be assessed for forward head posture, possible loss of the curve in your neck as well as pinched nerves. The Thumb issue may actually be a separate issue. However the numbness is likely related.

I would advise you to seek an examination at a competent Chiropractor where you live to look into these issues.

I hope this information is helpful in your medical decision making process.

QUESTION: Thank you...It ended up being a muscle spasm and ideas on how to allivate the pain?

Answer
Semma,
That sounds like good news. How did you find out it was just a muscle spasm. Who did you see, what did they tell you and what did they offer to help allievate the pain. Please give me as much information as you can so I can give some possible solutions.

Thank you and I await your reply.
