sir,
i have severe heel pain and foot pain when walk after rest and morning when get up.i have pain in my ankle too. also around the hip to half the buttocks.. what is my problem? what is the possible treatmebt? kindly reply. thanks in advance. im 36 yrs female . 2 daughters. 5yr old and 6 months old. im under treatment for hypothyroidism

You have symptoms consistent with plantar fasciitis. There is a lot of information on the internet on plantar fasciitis (also spelled: fascitis). www.grastontechnique.com is a good method for treating it, but you may not have any access to a provider. You can see a video of this being treated on my web site: http://www.drgillman.com/drgillman/pages/services.htm You may have to improvise and vigorously massage the bottom of your foot with a firm object. It is also helpful to grab your big toe and stretch the bottom of your foot several times per day. Wearing a contoured foot bed or a foot orthotic can also make this better. I do not know what brands you have in India, but there are several here in the USA that are good, including PowerSteps, SuperFeet, and ALINE.com brands. The pain around your hip and buttock can be from many different things and you would need a hands-on physical examination to know what is causing the pain. Often, stuck/stiff muscles and joints in the lower back contribute to pain in the buttock. Irritation of tissues around the hip also can be a cause. If you can find a chiropractor, do so.
