Expert: Robert A. Arnone, DC - 7/20/2010
QuestionDear Robert.Thank you in advance for answering my question.Im a 39yr old female.Am petite, slim, non smoker, hardly ever drink, blood pressure fine, colesterol ok,and since last summer i was experiencing angina type pains only on exertion. In january had a normal ecg and a stress test, but the pain did not occur, but as they took the leads off and i stood up,i got this ache ,about the size of a fist right in the centre of my chest, they did two further ecg's which were fine.Ever since then this pain has not left me,it has progressed to the thoracic spine,my shoulders, neck, across chest and upper chest, upper back and down my left arm, itis constant. Ive had an mri on cervical neck which was fine, thoracic spine and a chest xray all fine.Ive seen a musculoskeletal specialist and he says its not that. my new symptom is that my left eye pupil is permanantly dialated which has been 3wks now.Im desperate to have any information on this. Many, many thanks .Sue
AnswerIt doesn't sound good. Can you send me a disc of the MRI of your cervical spine? Being that I am a Cervical Spine Specialist 9 times out of 10 I am able to find problems that go undetected by other doctors.
If you can get the pics as attachments then you could send them to me in an email if that's easier. I will then be able to tell you what your pictures are actually indicating, and then what the next step would be.
Yours in Best Health,
