Question
My 1 yr old baby girl was born with pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency (brain damage)and she is just learning to hold her head up, but now her spine is curving at the bottom. Would it be good to take her to a chiropractor or would it affect her even more?

Answer
Rosa,

Would you please send me more information about the pregnancy, how you felt during the nine months, any complications, did you smoke or drink alcohol. Were you on any medications if so what were they and what were they for, did you have any ultra sounds during pregnancy.

Was the birth natural or were you medicated. Was your baby taken from the birth canal with forceps. Was anyone else in the room besides yourself to witness the birth process.

What does your pediatrician have to say about your baby's health. What are his recommendations concerning this matter. Has your baby seen a pediatric neurologist?

The more information you provide me with the more complete answer I can give you.
