Chiropractors/Finding a Goood Chiro

Question
Hi Dr. Gillman,

How can one find a good Chiro in their area?  I do not know anyone that can make any recommendations.  I want a straight shooter.  I haven't really had good experience with Chiros.  I know some are good and some are not. If you moved to a town where you didn't know anyone, how would you go about finding one?  I want one that will give me the same advice they would give their own mom. I went online hoping I could find reviews on local providers, but nothing.

I noticed some accept insurance and others do not.  Would you avoid one type vs the other?

Thanks!
Curtis

Answer
Curtis,

Yes, this is a big problem.  It's hard to find really good chiropractors.   There's a bunch of mediocre chiropractors, and there's a good share of those that have peculiar practice habits.  Here's a general reference from my web site:

www.drgillman.com/drgillman/pages/info/info_tips_finding.htm

You also can check:  www.westhartfordgroup.com.   Anyone on this list will be up-to-date clinically and will provide good care.

'Hope this helps.
