Question
Dear Dr. Newhart
My 15 year old has bad posture with lordosis and his head is positioned out too far in front. From the side, his posture looks like an "s". I saw a chiropractor today that is certified in CBP and feels my son needs 36 visits including traction.  This is going to be very costly, so I want to make sure I am going in the right direction in helping my son. What do you think?
Thank you
Cindi Smith

Answer
Without an actual exam, it is hard to determine the proper route.  However, I can tell you...I have been in practice for 18 years, and to this day cannot tell you decisively how many visits correction can or will take.  I do know that chiropractic can be very effective in treating this.
