Chiropractors/neck

Question
I laid down in bed and turned my head somehow as I laid and heard a noise, like a crackle almost. Since then my neck hurts so bad when I turn it a certain way. I know it was near C1/C2. It feels like I pulled a muscle but I'm not sure. I want to get it checked out but should I give it a week and see if it heals?

Answer
Janet,

Some people say "time heals all wounds" and this may be true but as a health practitioner I am duty bound to warn you that "time can make all wounds worse". I suggest that you see a Chiropractor, MD or DO and make sure there is no life threatening problems. See what they say and then decide if waiting it out is the best option if you don't agree with them.

So please don't wait please do make an appointment with the doctor of your choice.

I hope this information helps you in your medical decision making process.

Sincerely,
