Question
Hi, An MRI showed I have a herniated disc between C5 and C6.  Physical Therapy has not helped.  Medication has not helped.  I am scheduled to see a neruosurgeon.  Can chiropractic help?  I have pain, muscle soreness, muscle weakness, and tingling in my feet and hands.  Thanks!

Answer
Hello Klynn,

Chiropractic care can help with disc herniations, depending on the size and location of the prolapse.  If your weakness is progressing you may need surgery to relieve pressure on the nerve in order to prevent permanent damage!  You may want to have a couple opinions from nuerosurgeons and the Chiropractor.

Have a great day,
