Question
My x wants to take my 10 and 9 year old to a chiropractor just because his new wife and her 3 kids are on a family plan.  There is nothing wrong with me kids.  They would be getting it done just because the other 3 are.  What are your thoughts?  I have heard that you should not have them seen until they have stopped growing?

Melissa

Answer
It isn't a bad idea to have them checked; children, being active and "bouncy" MAY need an adjustment, but not always.  The first misalignment (subluxation) very often happens at birth.  I personally have worked on children, my own included, and if done properly, there is no danger to the growth plates.
