Question
I have 2 herniated discs and 2 bulging in my neck. I am 39 and have had this since 2005. I have tried Being cracked, Heat/Ice therapy. My chiropractor suggested MUA. Not too sure. Heard some bad things. I was thinking about accupuncture. What is your feelings on this?

Answer
Dear Gina,

As a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist, I would recommend acupuncture for the pain in the neck with the underlying disc problems.  Acupuncture should be able to manage your neck pain without being too invasive to the underlying conditions. Once the pain subsided with Acupuncture, gentle manipulation can be perform if the neck is stiff or out of alignment.
