Question
I go to bed with no pain but wake up with pain in my side, ribs, back & hips after a couple of hours.  Changing positions helps for a while but then pain returns. Have changed mattress, been to charopractor for adjustment, exercise regularly, mobility good. Help!!!

Answer
There can be quite a few causes.  One of the most common is tightness in the Psoas muscles.  If you put a pillow under your knees when on our back and between your knees when on your side, this can relieve the pressure.  You can also do a Psoas stretch to relieve the spasm.
