Chiropractors/Right Calf

Question
Hi I woke up one morning and found a huge bruse with as lump on my right lower calf. I do bruse easily so I thought nothing of it but now I am experiencing a burning feeling in my leg not hot to touvh on the outside.  I am a student nurse and my last placement I was on my feet for twelve hours a day.  Do you have any ideas, should I contact my GP?

Answer
If you bumped into something and that caused the bruise, then there is a chance you are simply experiencing mild causalgia from the local nerves being irritated (e.g. peroneal nerve).  If you cannot recall bumping anything against your calf and the bruise and lump are not quickly getting better, i.e. within a day or two, then please contact your GP right away.

Good luck,
