Question
Recently I had slept wrong and i had a severe mid-back pain, the next day i played golf, and when i woke up the next morning my shoulder hurts when i breathe, there is also pain on my side when i lift my arm above my shoulder height. Do you have any idea if this is serious, or something that i just need to deal with and will go away?

Thanks

Answer
Hello Owen,

You may want to see a Doctor of Chiropractic they specialize in the biomechanics of the joints and muscles of the body.  Sometimes when you sleep wrong you can irritate or subluxate (displace) a rib or vertebrea.  When this happens it feels like someone is stabbing you in the back and can radiate to the front of the chest. They will be able to locate the exact area of impingement/subluxation and correct your condition.  Treatment will greatly reduce the pain and speed your recovery!

Have a great day,
