Question
I am trying to figure out the best course of action with the least amount of wasted money.  I had my first child 6 months ago, and after 36 hours of intense labor.  Since then, I have been having very sharp, intense pains in my lower back at various times.  It is not consistent pain but does seem to be getting worse (it happens most every day now).  I do not want continuous chiropractic care, even though I understand the theory.  I want my back to be back to normal.  What is your advice?  Is this something a chiropractor should be able to diagnos and fix?

Answer
Hello Lydia,

You may need a Chiropractic exam first to see where exactly the problem is stems from.  Doctor's of Chiropractic are the biomechanic spine specialists so most of the time treatment for back pain can be resolved.  During labor tissue can be torn resulting in scartissue and the joint can be moved out of place causing altered biomechanics and pain.

Have a great day,
