Question
Hi, I have been attending my chiropractor for just over 2yrs now, but in the last 3wks i have been really dizzy and lightheaded with severe headaches and generally feeling like crap. my chiropractor keeps telling me to hang on in there, but i am taking panick attacks when i'm driving as my first dizzy spell occured then and also when i'm at work i panic that i will be unable to get through the day. i have even had to have my husband drive and accompany me to work to try and help me keep calm. should i be worried or is this horrible time going to ease up. even after adjustments i feel symptoms are aggravated i would like to know if i should continue or seek medical care. Thankyou

Answer
Tracey,

This is very serious!  The symptoms you describe are typical of rupturing aneurism of a neck artery and may be a precurser of stroke.  Shame on your chiropractor for not taking this seriously!  You must get to a neurologist immediately or get a cerebro-vascular examination immediately.  For more info, go to: https://www.ncmic.com/microsites/CVA/CVA_ExecSummary.pdf

Read this and pass it on to your chiropractor before you change to another chiropractor with better clinical skills.

Unless you have an underlying disease that causes dizziness, like benign positional vertigo or Meniere's disease, or if you have a neurologic disease like Multiple Sclerosis, or if you are frequent Migraine headache person, then you must get examined ASAP.

You email me at: scott@drgillman.com to prove to me you read this email and are taking this seriously!
