I have the same problem as this patient, and I have for 2 years. I had multiple tests with no results, until this past month I found a chiropractor that specializes in upper cervical spine treatment. He did a very strange x-ray in which he found my atlas was subluxated (the very top bone of your spinal cord). He said it put my whole upper back and shoulders out of balance. I've been treated for about a month, but I've had the snapping and pain in the shoulders for so long that it will take a few months for it to go away. At least I found an answer though; also, I was told tendon damage is hard to fix, so I might suggest to you something called prolotherapy; I haven't tried it yet, but it claims to fully restore tendons and ligaments that are damaged. Best of luck to you and me both.

I have been experiencing electric type shock feelings in my neck every since an accident three years ago. I am presentlyin physical therapy and i have been to my GP, two ortho. doctors and one neuro. doctor. Neck and back scan showed nothing, scheduled for brain scan. All labs are normal. I agree Lori, it is extremely frustrating. Last friday while sitting at my desk at work, i had a severe electric shock feeling go through my arm, should, fingertips..i could not move my arm upward and it continues to be painful to reach for anything at all. I'm am at wits end with this sensations and normal test results (which i prefer). I hope some day studies will be done for people who experience these types of incidences for if nothing else, peace of mind and relieve of pain without medication.
