I think there is something wrong with my right arm, basically when I twiest my wrist I get a pain inmy wrist and shooting down to me elbow(funny bone area), I can do a bicep curl motion  without much pain but when I twist my wrist or clench my fist I get a pain going down my arm to my elbow, I cant remember hurting my arm, perhaps its a traped nerve, should I go to a chiropractor or doctor for this?what do you think it is?

Answer
Mark,

I am not sure what you are describing based on your text, e.g. I don't know what you mean by a "funny bone."  I don't know what side of your wrist you are talking about.  There are three main nerves that traverse down your arm, and entrapment of these would often involve numbness/tingling symptoms into the fingers.  If you just have pain with gripping/grabbing/clenching-twisting motions, it is likely you have some tendon irriation.  If the pain is on the inside (the medial or ulnar side) of your elbow and forearm, then it's called "golfer's elbow" syndrome. If it is on the outside (lateral or radial side) of your elbow and forearm, then it's called "tennis elbow" syndrome.  You don't have to be a golfer or tennis player to have these conditions.  It can happen to anyone.  You also can have wrist joint irritation that radiates up your arm.  I have no information on your background, medical history, age, etc., so I am limited in how much I can provide advice.  I would suggest you find a chiropractor with some sports medicine training or one with training in orthopedic or extremity disorders.  If you have one of the above conditions, it will be easy to diagnose and treat.

'Hope this helps.
