Chiropractors/inflamed disc

Question
How long does inflamed disc pain usually take to diminish with chiropractic care?  Is this considered a chronic problem, or another name for a herniated disc?

Answer
It all depends how quickly you heal...we have seen inflammation clear fairly quickly or linger.  We use, in our office, a low level laser to decrease inflammation.  We also suggest anti-inflammatory supplements that may help.  Inflammation does not necessarily mean herniation.  You can have injury to the disc without herniation or bulge.
