Question
I posed a question the other day that I have been suffering with a sore neck and shoulder on my left had side especially when I train with weights ,I also posted further info that when I put my arms out straight and parallel to the floor and then raise them to the ceiling without bending my elbows I got a very tight feeling kind restrictive feeling in my rib area and now after a few days of doing this the tight/restrictive feeling has more or less passed but when I do that movement I get an ever so slight feeling in my neck and shoulder, similar to what i get in the gym and also whn in a seated position my rips on my left hand side feel strange, theres no pain but it feels like I have an extra rib or the rib is out of place.I think this has been like this quite a while, any ideas on what this is?

Answer
Dear Mark,

Glad to hear that you are getting better!  It sounds like the rib may be "subluxated" or out of position giving you discomfort.  I can't say that for sure without actually examining you.  It is a good idea to have a chiropractor to look at it.  If it is the rib out of place, the chiropractor should be able adjust it.
