Question
I have noticed some noises when I turn my head.  Sometimes I hear mild noise when I turn my head.  But what does concern me is the clicking and almost locking of my neck when I turn it sometimes.  I do not experience any pain and my neck never locks but it feels like it could

Answer
Hi Kay,

This is absolutly normal, it is called cavitation. This is gas being released from the joint at end range of motion when uncoupling occurs. You need to worry when it stops making noise, specially if it cavitated in the past, this can mean arthritis is starting or some other constricting disorder.
