Question I've had some numbness on my tongue for the past 2 weeks. At first it was just the tip of my tongue. now it's the majority of the top, and little in the front of my bottom lip. I do have some anxiety problems, have tried to realize that it's nothing and will go away. It hasn't. Called my DC, she said she didn't know what it would be. Made an appt. Called my MD (who is also a DC.) He told me to sit down and take some deep breaths. It's not getting better, in fact it spreading. Any advice?
Answer Hello Rhonda,
Anxiety can cause your symptoms however, you may want to have a nuerological exam just to make sure there is no other cause! You may want to schedule an appointment with a doctor that does not know you, this way they should spend a little more time on your history and exam.
