Question
I have this twitching on my thumb on my right hand for the past few days, ive also feel there is a strain on the right side of my neck/back of my head I have no pain in this area but it feels kinda numb, any ideas what this is?

Answer
Hello Mark,

Tightness in the neck and back may cause nerve impingement.  Nerves can be pinched in the spine at the neck or along their pathways.  The nerves from the neck innervate the arm and hands.  Muscle spasm can also pinch the nerves causing numbness, pain, twitching, etc.  You may want to see a doctor of chiropractic, they will be able to determine the exact location of the impingement and treat your conditon.

Have a great day,
