Question
On a typical day in this position, what do you do?

What personal qualities or abilities are important to being successful in this job?

Answer
Hello Liz,

Doctors' of Chiropractic specialize in the biomechanics of the spine and ALL the joints in the body.  So the typical day would be adjusting patients that have subluxations (this is when the bones are out of alignment), to help relieve pressure on the nervous system.  Also the doctor may use Ultrasound, Interferential, variety of muscle techniqiues ie massage etc. to assist in the healing process.  The Chiroppractic feild as a whole, has a natural health care approach. So important qualities/abilities are: Nutritional background, Listening to your patients, Extroverted personality, Knowledge in running a business.

Hope the information is helpful!!
