Choosing Alternative Therapies/Natural Remedies for Thinning Hair

Question
Hello Dorene,

I'm a 37 caucasian male who is experiencing thinning hair. I understand that there are medications and surgeries I can undergo, but I prefer natural remedies to restore my hair because I don't like the side effects of medications and I'm afraid that hair transplant surgery may go wrong unless it is performed by a true professional, and top of that, its very expensive. I want a treatment that fit within my budget.

Do you know of any?

Best regards,

Steven

Answer
Hi, Steven,

Thank you for submitting your question. It sounds like you are spending a lot of time considering your options, which is the way to go! I would also suggest, however, you discuss this issue with your primary health care provider. You also can discuss natural approaches with your primary health care provider, such as herbs and essential oils.

The ACHS Apothecary Shoppe College Store does carry a hair tonic kit, which includes the essential oils rosemary, lavender, basil, thyme, and cedarwood. This might provide a good starting point for you to talk to your primary health care provider. Here is the link if you're interested: http://www.apothecary-shoppe.com/product_info.php?cPath=83&products_id=1618

I hope that helps, Steven.

Warm Regards,
