Choosing Alternative Therapies/Natural Remedies for Thinning Hair

Question
Hello Meg,

I'm a 37 caucasian male who is experiencing thinning hair. I understand that there are medications and surgeries I can undergo, but I prefer natural remedies to restore my hair.

Do you know of any?

Best regards,

Steven

Answer
There are some new ones from France that haven't yet received FDA approval for sale in the U.S. yet.  Biotin is the best supplement for hair.  B-complex vitamins are important as well, and trace amounts of copper, so it would be wise to be on a good mineral supplement that supplies the right balance for you.  Decrease your stress levels and use gentle botanical shampoos.  Some people swear by collagen drinks and I found them helpful, too.
