Question
Hi, I am a senior in high school and still undecided on my future school. As of now, I am just waiting on the admission decisions from UPenn, Northwestern, and Johns Hopkins.

what I am asking is: Do you any common "complaints" or negative characteristics of these universities?? As all three are very similar in their prestige and academics.

I am just looking for educational and social "imperfections"
Of course, I would love to go to anyone.

thank you so much

Answer
Sam,

I think it would be tough to find a qualitative difference among these three top notch schools. What I suggest is that you look closely at quality of life issues. For instance, Penn is inner city, Northwestern, as I understand it, is in a leafy suburb; Hopkins is somewhere in between. In which setting will you feel most comfortable?

Which affords you best access to transportation to go do things, to travel home, etc.

Which offers the most appealing study abroad options?

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Bruce
