Choosing the Right College/GPA

Question
My GPA is very very low it was about 1.8 so I was wondering will I still be able to go to University New Hampshire because evryone wants me to go to Three Rivers and thats where I didn't want to go only because my teachers told me my GPA is not good to apply for any good colleges that I had planned on going to.

Answer
With a 1.8 GPA your opportunities are very limited.  UNH is a fairly competitive school and their biggest concern would be that you are not prepared for college.  The best way around that is to go to a community college for a year and take the core classes that colleges want to see:  Algebra, Freshman English, History, Science, etc.  Once you have proved that you can be successful in college level work, many schools could open up for you.
