Question
hi sue,
iam currently pursuing chemical engineering(first year) but my college doesn't allow changing the major. can i apply as a transfer to some US university after completing my first year and change my major to electrical engineering there.

Answer
Most large US universities will accept transfer students.  Students most commonly transfer after completing two years, but many will accept transfers after one year.  Look at large public universities, and check their websites for their transfer policies.

EE is a very popular major, and at some universities it is very difficult to get accepted into the major.  They often require very high grades, test scores, and recommendation letters for transfer to EE major.
