Choosing the Right College/transfer admissions

Question
Hi, I'm currently a freshman at a UC. I was considering transfering out to a local community college and going back to a UC during my junior year. What are the pros and cons of doing this? Will the fact that I have already attended a UC affect the chances of me getting into another? Would it look unusual to employers/admissions going from a university to community college and back?

Answer
If your reasons for making this switch are sensible, then I would go ahead and do it and not worry about it. You may need to explain to an admission person sometime why you needed to change, but people do move about in their college studies these days, so it's not unusual.

When you complete a resume down the road, you may well only list on it the school that bestowed the BA/BS upon you, and not the community college at which you studied (unless you complete and associates degree there - in which case you'd want to list it).

I hope this helps.
