Choosing the Right College/Son with ADHD

Question
Several people have told me that there are programs or grants for my son with ADHD.  Is it true that he would be able to attend college for free?  He is just finishing his junior year.

Answer
Rob,

I have not heard of any college that will allow your son to attend free due to this condition, though I suppose its possible.

Will he need a school with services designed for his condition? If so, I would start by checkign with the FA officers at these schools. If he could go for free, they would know about it.

The drug companies that make meds for ADHD may have some grant programs. I'd look there, too.

BTW, you may be able to get extended time on the SAT and ACT tests (be sure your son takes both).

I hope this helps. Bruce
